SOCIETY OF BIOPESTICIDE SCIENCES, INDIA
Insect Biopesticide Research Center

Society of Biopesticide Sciences, India and Insect Biopesticide Research Centre (IBRC) is an interdisciplinary professional society in India in the field of biopesticides. It was founded in 1996 as a non-political and non-profit making organization, registered under the Societies act in Punjab (India) (No. 487/96). Its research center IBRC is a recognized research center from Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The research center endeavours to promote all fields of biopesticide sciences including environmental aspects through interaction between researchers from diverse disciplines of entomology, toxicology, agriculture, biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry and biological sciences related to biological pesticides.

LOCATION
The registered office of the Society is “Insect Biopesticide Research Centre” located at 30-Parkash Nagar, Jalandhar, 144003, India

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

i)  To promote the study and advance the cause of Biological pesticides and allied biological Agro-chemicals and living organisms in India.

ii)  To provide a forum to scientists for expressing critical view based on scientific knowledge and rational thinking on important policies and programmes concerning the biopesticides and related fields.

iii)  To collect, compare and disseminate information on various scientific and technological aspects of the programme, policies, management and use of such biochemicals.

iv)  To promote extensive use of biopesticides with a view to maximizing crop production and minimizing environmental pollution and health hazard.

v)   To encourage and promote close association/collaboration among members belonging to various disciplines related to biopesticides and allied chemicals.

vi)  To create awareness among public on the role of biopesticides in agriculture, public health and human welfare.
